I am Abi Ishola, a multimedia journalist based in New York City. My love for culture, style, and life in New York City inspired me to start Scripts and Sightings, a blog that celebrates fashion, beauty, and culture.

A little back story on me: over a decade ago, I packed my bags and left Miami—my hometown—to chase my dream of working in the fashion industry in the Big Apple. So here I am, armed with a Bachelors Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, a Masters degree in Broadcast Journalism, a cool job as a TV producer/reporter, and writing credits from major magazines and websites like Teen Vogue, Essence.com, Ebony.com, and Heart & Soul.

On a personal note, I am Kunle’s wife, Bayo and Iyabo’s daughter, Lola’s little sister, a great friend to great people, a dreamer, a go-getter, Nigerian-American, and the proud mother of Naomi Tejumade Ayodeji.

Thanks for stopping by. I am honored to have you here!

P.S. In case you’re wondering:
SCRIPTS = The things I write, my musings, my views, my stories, my reports.

SIGHTINGS = The beautiful people, places, and things I encounter that shape fashion and culture.
